Terms of Use
Effective September 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Smmall LLC (“Smmall”, “we”, “us”). They cover the zinbox Mac app, zinbox subscriptions, and the zinbox.email website (together, “zinbox”). By downloading, installing or using zinbox, or by subscribing, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use zinbox.
1. What zinbox is
zinbox is a macOS app that shows your Gmail and Google Workspace accounts side by side in one window. It loads Gmail directly from Google. zinbox doesn’t provide email service itself, and your mail stays in your Google accounts.
zinbox is an independent product. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC or Apple Inc. Gmail and Google Workspace are trademarks of Google LLC. Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.
2. Your Google accounts
You sign in to your Google accounts through Google, and your use of them is governed by Google’s own terms and policies. You’re responsible for your Google accounts, for keeping your Mac secure, and for everything you do in Gmail through zinbox. We can’t access your accounts, recover your passwords, or restore your mail.
zinbox depends on how Google’s services work. If Google changes Gmail, limits access to it, or suspends your account, parts of zinbox may stop working. We’ll make reasonable efforts to keep up with those changes, but we can’t guarantee it.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to subscribe to zinbox. If you use zinbox on behalf of a company, you confirm that you’re authorized to accept these terms for it.
4. Your license
While you follow these terms and, where required, have an active subscription, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use zinbox on Macs that you own or control.
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, or make derivative works of zinbox, except as the law allows;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble zinbox, except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- resell, rent, share or sublicense zinbox or your subscription, or get around its licensing or payment;
- use zinbox to break the law, to break Google’s terms, or to send spam or harmful content.
zinbox and everything in it, including its name, logo and design, belong to Smmall. These terms don’t transfer any ownership to you.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Automatic renewal. zinbox is sold as a subscription. When you subscribe, you authorize us to charge your payment method the price shown at checkout, plus any applicable tax, at the start of your subscription and again at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as you choose). Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. You agree to keep your payment details current. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and if it continues to fail, we may suspend your subscription.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing link in your receipt email, or by emailing levi@smmall.site. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Refunds. If you’re not happy with zinbox, email us within 30 days of any charge and we’ll refund that charge in full. After 30 days, charges aren’t refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and it will take effect at your next renewal after that notice. If you don’t want to pay the new price, you can cancel before then.
6. Updates and changes
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We may also stop offering zinbox. If we discontinue zinbox, we’ll give subscribers reasonable notice and refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription period.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. In short, the zinbox app doesn’t send us your email or your usage data.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using zinbox at any time. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we end it without cause, we’ll refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription period. Sections 4 (ownership), 10, 11, 12 and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.
10. Disclaimer
ZINBOX IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, SMMALL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT ZINBOX WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT IT WILL WORK WITH EVERY GOOGLE ACCOUNT OR FEATURE, OR THAT NOTIFICATIONS OR UNREAD COUNTS WILL ALWAYS BE COMPLETE OR ON TIME. DON’T RELY ON ZINBOX AS YOUR ONLY WAY OF LEARNING ABOUT TIME-SENSITIVE EMAIL.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, SMMALL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ZINBOX, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. SMMALL’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO ZINBOX IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ZINBOX IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR US $50.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain liabilities to be limited, so some of sections 10 and 11 may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived by contract.
12. Indemnity
If you use zinbox in a way that breaks these terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against Smmall, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, that result from that claim.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to zinbox will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Smmall agree to their jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living outside the United States, you may also have the right to bring claims in the courts where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll email subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using zinbox after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
15. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Smmall about zinbox. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
